This evening we had another cultural evening - Switzerland. Certain friends of mine are somewhat passionate about this country and we have a Swiss couple, Dominik and Rebbecca, who organized a great meal and presentation.
The food was an Italian starter - bruschetta with tomatoes. The Swiss-German main course was Alp Macaroni - which contained macaroni, swiss cheeses and potato - simply beautiful (and accompanied by onions and apple stew). Dessert was French - crepes. All in all very beautiful.
Politics was the order of the day - we voted on a couple of initiatives over dinner and learned a fair amount about the unique political system in the country. Go read more over at the Swiss Info website.
Along with the stunning promotional DVD of the country’s varied landscape - I’m half tempted to get a ticket back to Europe straight away.
I miss you very, very much Simon. You’re having too much fun, I demand you stop it and come back!
