The Graduate

Whilst Garfunkel had no part to play in the ceremony this evening I’m happy to say that Simon did.  The Discipleship Training School that I’ve been doing for the last six months has finished and I’ve graduated.

One person has already left and I already miss the guy a lot.  In the next 24 hours a whole bunch of people will begin to disperse around the world and it’s quite possible that I might not see them all again.  Somehow I never realise how big a piece of my heart people have until it’s too late - it’s even more true in this case.  People who I really have spent six full months with in environments that give Big Brother a run for it’s money.

No tears yet, but the hours will roll on by and the fat lady has yet to sing.  Before I close I’d like to honour my school leader Dean Dallas for being amazing and teaching me many things.  From here I continue to study video production for a while.

A side note is that it’s cold here.  As with many new world destinations, the building I’m living in has no heating.  Today was refreshingly warm but most of the last week has involved tucking my duvet in properly and wearing three layers around the building.

I’ll write again soon.  Honest.
