Yesterday we finished the edit of our public service announcement. It went quite well I think considering it was highly complex - directing five inexperienced teens as our talent and doing some hectic post-production graphics.
To set the scene: MXit is a instant messenger application (like MSN Messenger or the text bit on Skype) for mobile phones that kids out here in South Africa use a heck of a lot. It's way cheaper than text messages and more convenient in some ways. Anyhow this piece was written with the aim of encouraging kids to log off of the virtual world and engage with the here and how.
