act 6 scene 1

I’ve been involved to some degree in two offices moves now.  In the first I pretty much co-ordinated the whole of the IT and telecoms fit out and move.  In the second one I had more of a supporting role.  So this has been the third move - this time around I wasn’t involved in any preparation, simply helping to move some IT kit and set up some networking.

This move, near Delhi in India, is by far the most exciting.  In comparison to those in the UK it’s been a bit like a roller-coaster ride - powered by culture immersion technology.  The office we are moving into is, quite simply, not finished.  The lift shafts are empty voids, the toilets only started working this afternoon, corridors are being sanded and painted and there are workmen absolutely everywhere you look.  Every few hours I see the incredible process of transformation occurring in real time.

Tomorrow I’m off to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal.  I’m pretty excited.
