staying skeptical

Back in April I went to Paris and blogged both about the amazing velib system and my fears of the utter failure it could be if introduced in London.  This evening I read on the tube that a similar scheme is getting closer in London - the Guardian talks about it here.

My original negativity remains.  I really hope it will work, but I just can’t see us getting the availability, cost and user friendliness right.  The scope for screwing it up even when it’s been done well elsewhere is obvious.

My fingers are crossed.
