I love London. Really. After having been away from the city for over a year I am so very glad to be back. Low budget, simple story, okay acting: once. Lovefilm delivered to me today a gem of a film. It’s an atypical boy meets girl kinda flick, a musical in fact and it goes something like this: boy is a part time vacuum repairing busker, girl is a single czech mother just about making ends meet. His [...] This evening I had the priviledge of being in the audience of the UK premiere of ‘for the BIBLE tells me so’. An evening hosted by Sir Ian McKellen along with that all too controvesial US bishop, Gene Robinson. The film was shown first, followed by a question and answer session with the two hosts [...] I like the Big British Castle and I like Radio 4. This evening I caught this weeks The Moral Maze (you can listen again from there) which was a debate roughly centred around religion vs. science. As with everything it had extreme viewpoints but I felt that Lord Wilson had a fairly sensible balanced opinion. Once in a while Have I got news for you is hilariously funny. Tonight I saw a repeat from last week with Jeremy Clarkson chairing - quite simply it was one of the best I’ve seen for ages. He also did an amazing take on Ground Force earlier in the year for Sports Relief - [...] |
